CORPS HOSTS MOBILE HARBOR OPEN HOUSE
MOBILE, Alabama – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District hosted an open house concerning the Mobile Harbor Draft General Reevaluation Report with Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (Draft GRR/SEIS), September 11 at the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center, in Mobile, Alabama.

USACE RESCHEDULES MOBILE HARBOR PUBLIC MEETING
MOBILE, Ala. – Due to Tropical Storm Gordon, the public meeting concerning the Mobile Harbor Draft General Reevaluation Report with Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (Draft GRR/SEIS) previously scheduled for Sept. 6, 2018 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Mobile Convention Center, located at 1 South Water Street in downtown Mobile.

Army Issues Memorandum to Empower States & Tribes in their Permitting Authority
Washington (August 7, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) today released a memorandum taking initial steps to empower States and tribes in assuming Section 404 permit authority under the Clean Water Act (CWA). In taking on this authority, States and tribes can accelerate job-creating economic development and infrastructure, all while continuing to protect the environment.

Corps of Engineers and City of Atlanta Move Forward with Proctor Creek Restoration Project
MOBILE, Alabama – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District and the City of Atlanta have completed and approved the Recommended Plan of a three-year, joint-funded feasibility study for aquatic ecosystem restoration in the Proctor Creek watershed. The Proctor Creek Watershed is located within the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. The creek flows in a northwesterly direction originating in downtown Atlanta and terminating in the Chattahoochee River, covering approximately 16 square miles and nearby to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, which is visited by more than three million people each year.

This document is being circulated to federal, state and local agencies and interested public for a 45-day comment period.
