    MOBILE, Ala. – Georgia Department of Natural Resources Environmental Protection Division responded to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District Aug. 14, 2019, with test results of Allatoona Lake, addressing recent public concern about harmful algal blooms.

    MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District is aware of reports that harmful algal blooms may be present at Allatoona Lake in Cartersville, Georgia. Currently, the USACE Mobile District has been coordinating with the local health department for Bartow County and Georgia Department of Natural Resources to address public concern.

    MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District at West Point Project announces its annual celebration of National Public Lands Day scheduled Sept. 28, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Holiday Campground, located on the project site in West Point, Georgia.
  • USACE WEST POINT PROJECT HUNTING PERMITS NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

    MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District at the West Point Project Management Office in West Point, Georgia announced Aug. 7, 2019 that permits and maps are now available for the 2019-2020 hunting season. A permit is required to hunt on lands managed by USACE at West Point Project. The permit fee is $25.00.
  • HUNTING SEASON: USACE TENN-TOM WATERWAY PROJECT SEEKS VOLUNTEERS FOR MOBILITY-IMPAIRED HUNTERS

    MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District at Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Project seeks volunteers to participate in white-tailed deer hunts during the 2019-2020 hunting season.
  • BUFORD DAM ROAD, PARK AREAS TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

    MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lake Sidney Lanier recreation site announces that Buford Dam Road as well as park areas with entrances inside the general work area will be closed for roadway maintenance on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 9:00 a.m until 5:30 p.m.
  • USACE EXTENDS MOBILE HARBOR GRR/SEIS AGENCY COMMENT PERIOD FOR ADDITIONAL 30 DAYS

    MOBILE, Ala. – The Mobile District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, announced June 13, 2019, it will extend the agency comment period an additional 30 days for the Mobile Harbor Integrated Final General Evaluation Report (GRR) with Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS), Mobile County, Alabama. The agency comment period closing date is now extended to Thursday, July 18, 2019.
  • VALLEY CREEK FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT STUDY TO HOST OPEN HOUSE

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and city of Bessemer will host a public open house event to provide information on the Valley Creek Flood Risk Management Study and seek input from community members on June 19, 2019, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., at the Bessemer Civic Center, located at 1130 9th Avenue S.W., Bessemer, AL 35022.
  • ARMY CORPS ANNOUNCES ADMINISTRATIVE FEE CHANGES

    ATLANTA – Beginning January 1, 2020, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Atlantic Division, will implement a revised administrative fee schedule resulting in a total cost of $835 for a dock and land based facilities at its reservoirs and along certain federal waterways in the Southeastern United States. The administrative fee will cover costs the Corps incurs for the issuance or re-issuance of these licenses.

    MOBILE, Ala. – The Mobile District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today it will extend the agency comment period an additional seven (7) days for the Mobile Harbor Integrated Final General Evaluation Report (GRR) with Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS), Mobile County, Alabama. The agency comment period closing date is now extended to Monday, June 17, 2019
