    The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) was signed into law by President Biden Nov. 15, 2021. Under the IIJA spend plan the U.S. Army Corps Engineers Mobile District’s total spending will exceed $82.7 million.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District recently received congressional funding for the design of the Selma Flood Risk Management Feasibility Project in Selma, Ala.
  • Temporary Road and Park Closures at Lake Sidney Lanier

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lake Sidney Lanier advises the public that Buford Dam Road will be temporarily closed for roadway maintenance at 9 a.m. on Feb. 9. It is expected that the work will be completed by 5 p.m. During this time, use Highway 20 as an alternate route.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at West Point Lake Project announced today that they will accept unwanted, live Christmas Trees for recycling beginning Dec. 26, 2021 until Jan. 10, 2022. Artificial trees will not be accepted.
  • USACE Allatoona Lake to Accept Christmas Trees for Recycling

    The Allatoona Lake Project Management Office announced today that they will accept unwanted, live Christmas Trees for recycling beginning Dec. 26, 2021 until Jan. 8, 2022 at seven drop-off sites around the lake. Artificial trees will not be accepted.
  • USACE Commander signs Chief’s Report for Okaloosa County Study

    Lt. Gen. Scott A. Spellmon, USACE Commanding General and 55th U.S. Army Chief of Engineers has signed the Okaloosa County, Florida Coastal Storm Risk Management Study Chief’s Report representing the completion of the study and making it eligible for congressional authorization.
