MOBILE, Ala. – Following the temporary suspension of recreation fees this past spring and summer to protect against the spread of COVID-19, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District announced today that it will resume the collection of fees at several dozen recreation areas beginning October 1, 2020.
Unless otherwise noted, fee collections will resume October 1 at the following day-use parks and non-reservable campgrounds:

The Black Warrior-Tombigbee Lakes at Demopolis and Holt will be launching a new user fee program at all day-use areas that collect fees. Visitors will be required to make advanced purchase through www.recreation.gov “Pay before you come” pilot program beginning October 1. America The Beautiful (ATB) and USACE Annual passes will be accepted but their sales at certain Project locations may still be suspended. Please check ahead with your local Project for information. ATB and USACE Annual passes purchased between April 2019 – April 2020 have been granted a seven-month extension to the current expiration date at USACE-operated parks.
While visiting USACE recreation areas, visitors are encouraged to practice social distancing and other COVID-19 safety precautions required and recommended by local, state and federal authorities.
