Ms. Kennedy currently serves as the Chief, Real Estate Division, Mobile District for approximately 60 employees. Mobile has a diverse Real Estate Portfolio in excess of $56 Million dollars for the planning, acquisition, appraisal, leasing, asset management and disposal of real property for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District; both civil and military.
Prior to reporting to Mobile District in August 2020, Ms. Kennedy served as the Chief Real Estate in North Atlantic Division. Area of responsibility included six Districts (New York, Baltimore, Norfolk, New England, Philadelphia, and Europe). North Atlantic Division has a diverse Real Estate Portfolio in excess of $350 million dollars. Portfolio included all of the functional areas Acquisitions, Appraisals, Recruiting, Planning & Control, Interagency & International Services (IIS), Housing, Civil Works, Management and Disposals. In addition, Regional Centers of Expertise include Residential Community Initiative (RCI), Privatization of Army Lodging (PAL), Defense National Relocation Plan (DNRP), and Real Estate Support Field Office (RSFO).
Prior to reporting to the North Atlantic Division in November 2014, Ms. Kennedy was dual hatted as the Deputy Chief, Real Estate Division and Senior Chief of Management and Disposal Branch in Mobile District for approximately 40 employees. While at Mobile District, she completed a 6 month TDY assignment as the Chief, Real Estate Division in Honolulu District in June 2016, where she received an Achievement Medal for Civilian Service.
Prior to reporting to Mobile District in June 2012, Ms. Kennedy was the Chief of Civil Works Branch in Los Angeles District for approximately 12 employees. Area of responsibility included 11 Civil Works Basins. She was responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the appraisal, acquisition, management, and disposal of real estate for the Civil Works Programs within the State of California. Prior to reporting to Los Angeles District in April 2009, Ms. Kennedy was the Chief of Real Estate Division in Albuquerque District for approximately 10 employees. She was responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the appraisal, acquisition, management, and disposal of real estate for the Civil Works program and for all military in the state of New Mexico.
Prior to reporting to Albuquerque District, Ms. Kennedy began her career in September 1991 at Tulsa District. Responsible for various types of outgrants to include: Commercial Concession leases; public, non-profit and private recreation leases; Fish and wildlife Management Leases and Licenses; Ports and Industrial Leases; Agricultural and Grazing Leases; Utility Easements, and Oil and Gas Easements. She also prepared Consents and performed on-site compliance inspections of leases and permits to assure proper compliance with terms and conditions of the lease or permit.
Ms. Kennedy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Management from Langston University (HBCU) in Langston, Oklahoma
