Jason B. Krick

Mr. Jason B. Krick assumed his position as Chief of Engineering Division for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, in June 2019.  As Chief of Engineering Division he is responsible for a multi-discipline, professional workforce of 155 who provide engineering services for the District’s Military, Civil Works, Hazardous, Toxic and Radiological Waste, and Support for Others Programs.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Krick served as Chief of Geotechnical, Environmental, and HTRW Branch for Engineering Division from January 2014 to July 2019. Since beginning his career as an Engineering Division, Student Trainee in 2000, Mr. Krick’s assignments have included Geotechnical Design Engineer, Civil Works Engineering Technical Lead, and Engineering Division Section Chief.

Mr. Krick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Science degree in risk management from Notre Dame of Maryland University. He is a registered professional engineer in Alabama and Facility Engineer Level III certified. Mr. Krick has led large and diverse programs that support a complex collection of disparate technical capabilities and worldwide USACE Technical Centers of Expertise such as Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Dam Safety, Levee Safety, Civil/Site Engineering, Environmental Compliance, and Hazardous and Toxic Waste Remediation. He also manages USACE’s “Subsurface Exploration” and “Water and Wastewater” Technical Centers of Expertise. Mr. Krick has considerable experience in an array of project types including Civil Works, DoD - Military, and Interagency and International Services (IIS) programs. Additionally, Krick is intimately involved in the District's dam and levee safety programs with responsibility for the safety of 28 dams and 7 levee systems. His expertise in Risk Management and Risk Communication has positioned Krick as one of the District’s leaders in applied operational risk management.

In addition to numerous performance awards, Mr. Krick has been awarded four Commander’s Awards for Civilian Service, Mobile Area Council of Engineers 2015 “Young” Engineer of the Year, and Mobile District’s 2016 Supervisor of the Year.
