Floating Cabins on Allatoona Lake are grandfathered as they are no longer permitted and are protected by Water Resources Development Act (WRDA).  No new floating cabins will be allowed.

Those floating cabins that are grandfathered in, must be properly maintained and comply with applicable safety standards. Cabins that do not comply with the necessary standards will be removed.

Individuals planning on making any alterations to current floating cabins must first receive approval though the Allatoona Lake Project Management Office.
