Tuscaloosa, AL. – Black Warrior & Tombigbee Lakes, Holt Resource Office would like to announce the temporary closure for improvements, maintenance and repairs of the Oliver Fishing Pier Park in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Oliver Fishing Pier Park is leased to the City of Tuscaloosa and they will be closing the park on April 24, 2023, with tentative plans to reopen on March 1, 2024. The temporary closure will be for maintenance and improvements to the park and the Western Riverwalk expansion that is occurring adjacent to the lease area.
Some improvements to the Oliver Fishing Pier Park include additional security lighting, roof replacement on covered picnic tables, roof replacement on restroom facility, paving, walking trail expansion of the Wester River Walk that will culminate at the Oliver Fishing Pier Park.
