The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District (USACE) has conducted an environmental analysis in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended. The Environmental Assessment (EA) dated 19 May 2022, for the Old Oliver Lock and Dam Land Sale and Lease addresses the land sale and lease to the City of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and opportunities for the City of Tuscaloosa to expand the Riverwalk.
