    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District (USACE) has conducted an environmental analysis in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended. The final Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment (IFR/EA) dated [DATE PLACEHOLDER], for the Claiborne and Millers Ferry Locks and Dams Fish Passage Study addresses Federal interest in establishing fish passage through restoring connectivity in the Alabama and Cahaba Rivers, opportunities, and feasibility in the Lower Alabama River. The final recommendation is contained in the report of the Chief of Engineers, dated [DATE PLACEHOLDER].
  • Public Notice FP23-MH01-12 – PROPOSED MOBILE HARBOR UPPER BAY CHANNEL WIDENER MOBILE HARBOR NAVIGATION PROJECT MOBILE COUNTY,

    Interested persons are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District proposes to widen the federally authorized Mobile Harbor Navigational Channel in the Upper Bay segment with placement of dredged material within previously authorized disposal sites in Mobile Bay, Mobile County, Alabama.
  • GULFPORT HARBOR OM Public Notice

    Interested persons are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District proposes to continue maintenance dredging of the federally authorized Gulfport Harbor Navigation Project, Harrison County, Mississippi. Material would be placed in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) designated Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS), approved Section 404 open-water sites west of the channel in Mississippi Sound via thin-layer disposal, or in a littoral zone disposal site southeast of Cat Island.
  • INACTIVE OCEAN DREDGED MATERIAL DISPOSAL SITES (ODMDS)

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Atlantic Division (USACE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 4 have prepared a draft Site Management and Monitoring Plan (SMMP) to specifically address the disposal of dredged material at the Southeastern United States Inactive Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Sites (ODMDS). Comments on this draft SMMP are requested from the public, other agencies and all interested parties.
