    MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District is releasing normal, high-flow water releases at Carters Lake Dam due to its high water level.

    MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District announces that due to continued heavy rainfall in the northern regions of Alabama and Mississippi, river levels have reached major flood stages, impacting navigation traffic on inland waterway systems. The high water levels have caused the closure of several locks, as well as creating shoal areas obstructing as water levels drop.

    MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District has temporarily closed the West Bank Park at Lake Lanier as of Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, due to safety hazards. The park will remain closed while saturated ground conditions delay efforts to resolve the safety concerns.
