Boating

West Point Lake is a man-made reservoir impounded by the West Point Dam on the Chattahoochee River. With more than 500 miles of shoreline and 25,900 surface acres of water, West Point Lake is a boater's paradise.

Boat launching ramps are conveniently located around the lake in 30 different public recreation areas (including 4 leased areas). Some ramps charge a $5 fee to launch your vessel from the ramp.

There are also two privately operated marinas at West Point Lake that provide fuel, storage, boat repair, rentals, supplies and other boater's needs. For more information on the Marina's at West Point check out the graph below that describes the services that each of them offer. Whether your preference is sailing, wind surfing, or power boating, West Point Lake is the place to be!
