Mobile District Re-Opens Additional Campgrounds

MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District is very pleased to announce that more of our recreation campgrounds will be re-opening for visitors, starting June 8, 2020.

The following Corps Projects will re-open a select number of their campgrounds on Monday, June 8:

  • Alabama River Lakes          
  • Black Warrior & Tombigbee Rivers
  • Lake Seminole
  • Walter F. George Lake

Please note that only campgrounds utilizing the Recreation.gov website, smartphone app, and auto-fee machines will be re-opening. We ask the public to visit our local Facebook pages for the list of parks re-opening.

We're looking forward to seeing you again!  Please stay healthy and keep practicing safe social distancing. We also ask visitors to please obey posted signage at facilities which limit the number of people and/or area closures.

Finally, if you are planning to visit one of our campgrounds over the next several days, please monitor weather reports on the approaching Tropical Storm Cristobal in the Gulf of Mexico. Its forecast high winds and heavy rains upon landfall along the Gulf Coast may impact your area and camping plans.
