Camping

Lake Sidney Lanier offers some of the best camping opportunities in the entire Southeast. Whether it’s a tent on a primitive campsite hugging the shoreline of the lake or a pad for your recreational vehicle, Lake Lanier has it all.

To better serve you, the public, and ensure that the campgrounds maintain the high standards you expect, the US Army Corps of Engineers Lake Lanier Project has partnered with neighboring counties to manage these areas. The primary change will be the websites you visit to make your reservations:

For Duckett Mill, Old Federal, and Bolding Mill Campgrounds, please visit Hall County Camping Reservations at https://www.hallcounty.org/1182/Camping-Reservations.

For Sawnee Campground and Bald Ridge Creek Campground, visit Forsyth County Parks at https://parks.forsythco.com/Facilities-Amenities.

For Toto Creek Campground, visit Dawson County Recreation Reservations at https://secure.rec1.com/GA/dawson-county-recreation/catalog.

These changes in the reservation process are the only differences you’ll notice when you visit our beautiful lake and exceptional campgrounds.

Together with our county partners, we manage six campgrounds on Lake Lanier, featuring 427 campsites, including 393 sites with water and electric hookups. Most sites are waterfront, and all include a picnic table, fire ring, grill, and lantern pole.

All campgrounds offer beach areas, boat ramps, and restrooms. Most also provide showers, playgrounds, accessible sites, and manned entry stations.

All Army Corps campgrounds on Lake Sidney Lanier recognize the America The Beautiful (ATB) and Golden Passport* cards. The ATB Annual and Lifetime Senior Pass, Access Pass, Golden Age, and Golden Access passes will grant 50% off all campsite reservation fees**
