While many people visit the area to fish or camp, Allatoona Lake also offers 14 day-use parks for public use. The parks offer a variety of recreation facilities including ball fields, fishing jetties, picnic tables, swimming beaches, horse-shoe pits, volleyball areas, and large picnic shelters. The picnic shelters are ideal for family reunions, birthday parties or company gatherings and may be reserved in advance by visiting www.Recreation.gov.
A facility-use fee of $5 per vehicle is charged at parks with beaches. A $5 boat launching fee is charged at parks with boat ramps. A Corps of Engineers Annual Day-Use Pass may be purchased for $40. The pass is honored at Corps of Engineers day-use areas and boat ramps nationwide.
All day-use parks have restroom facilities. Other amenities vary depending on the day-use area. For details on the facilities at each Allatoona Lake day-use area see the chart below. Closing hours vary depending on the day-use area. Please contact the Allatoona Lake Project Management Office to confirm hours at (678) 721-6700. Please verify before visiting as prices are subject to change.
