Boating

With 270 miles of shoreline and more than 12,000 surface acres of water, Allatoona Lake is a boater's paradise. There are boat launching ramps conveniently located in 27 different public recreation areas around the lake.

All of our day-use and ramp facilities charge a $5 facility use-fee, except Cooper's Branch 1 & 2 and Cooper's Furnace. You may also purchase a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Annual Day-Use Pass for $40.

There are 8 full service marinas found along the shores of Lake Allatoona. Any boating related need you have can be served by at least one, and in some cases many, of these marinas. Boat slips (both covered and uncovered), dry storage, fuel, mechanical and structural services, boat rentals, and boat sales are all available. So whether you prefer sailing, wind surfing, or power boating take time to stop by one of the best kept secrets located just 40 minutes north of downtown Atlanta.
