Located in Tuscaloosa, AL, along the banks of the Black Warrior River, the Black Warrior-Tombigbee/Alabama-Coosa Project Management Office's area of responsibility falls within the Mobile District's Civil Works Project Boundary. It also has regional Site Offices at Tuscaloosa, Demopolis, Alabama River Lakes (R.F. Henry), and Millers Ferry.
The Black Warrior-Tombigbee/Alabama-Coosa Project Management Office is responsible for all Civil Works activities along the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway, including the Locust Fork, Mulberry Branch, and Alabama-Coosa Waterways. It is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of 9 locks and dams and 2 hydroelectric generating plants on the Black Warrior-Tombigbee and Alabama Waterways. The 4 Site Offices provide site-specific administration of navigation, hydroelectric generation, and recreation management activities.
