Anthony Spriggs, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District Civil Engineer Technician, and Ian Linderman, Construction Control Representative, both from the Panama City Site Office, participated and won in the Warrior Memorial Reefs Foundation's annual spearfishing tournament on September 13, 2025.
Spriggs and Linderman won first place in the Amberjack category for catching the biggest Amberjack, showcasing both their spearfishing skills and dedication to the event.
Spriggs, who is a former corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps and Linderman, who is a former U.S. Army EOD sergeant, both understand the importance of honoring those who have served.
The tournament supports the Foundation's mission to create living memorials beneath the sea, providing a meaningful way to pay tribute to veteran's and first responders, while also contributing to marine conservation.
Spriggs and Linderman's participation in the tournament helped raise awareness for the Foundation's mission, but also gave them a chance to connect with others who share their commitment to preserving the legacy of those who served.
