  • McGee Bridge Dock Closed for Repairs

    MOBILE, Ala.--The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District at West Point Project announced that the courtesy dock at McGee Bridge Park is closed for use until repairs can be made to the walkway section. A barricade and closed sign are posted. The public is discouraged from using the dock as this could cause additional damage to other portions of the walkway section. Thank you for your compliance.
  • Playground Improvement Underway at West Point Lake

    MOBILE, Ala.--The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, (USACE) Mobile District at West Point Lake announced that efforts have begun to replace aging playground equipment in various parks around the reservoir. The existing playground equipment is more than 20-years-old and has become outdated. A total of 12 playgrounds are scheduled to be replaced. All of the outdated equipment is being removed. Hardley Creek and Eagle View Parks will receive new equipment this year. Other parks will be fitted with new equipment later this year and in subsequent years.
  • Corps of Engineers Inspecting and Repainting Boundary Lines at West Point Lake

    MOBILE, Ala. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District, West Point Project announced that the project’s operations and maintenance contractor, Anderson Construction Company, will begin the seasonal maintenance of the Government property line around the reservoir on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014.
  • Ringer Park Temporary Closured for Upgrades

    MOBILE, Ala.--The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District at West Point Project announced that Ringer Park will be temporarily closed, on a periodic basis from mid September through October, so Anderson Construction Company can perform facility improvements. These intermittent closures are necessary while improvements are being made in the park.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Inspecting and Repainting Boundary Line at West Point Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District announced today that the project’s operations and maintenance contractor, Anderson Construction Company, will begin the seasonal maintenance of the Government property line around the reservoir on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013. USACE would like to make the public aware of this work so that local residents are not alarmed by their presence.
