Published Oct. 11, 2017

MOBILE, Ala. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District, is scheduled to host an archery-only youth deer hunt at the Allatoona Lake Project Management Office, Dec. 2-3, 2017. The annual event provides an opportunity for the project management office to give back to the community by teaching our Nation’s youth responsible hunting practices.

To participate in the hunt, a parent or guardian must accompany each youth hunter and possess a valid Big Game License in the state of Georgia.

Hunting blinds will be available at McKinney Campground by reservation only to youth ages 15 and under.  Reservations for hunting blinds will be taken October 13 through November 3 by phone or in person, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In the event of an overflow of requests for hunting blinds, Allatoona Lake reserves the right to use a lottery to fill open spots.
