Archery deer hunt: USACE to host disabled hunters

MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District is scheduled to host an archery-only deer hunt for disabled hunters at the Allatoona Lake Project Dec. 8-9.

Hunting blinds will be provided throughout McKinney Campground, but are by reservation only, and limited to hunters permanently confined to a wheelchair. A non-hunting assistant may accompany each disabled hunter. Each hunter must possess a valid Georgia Big Game license. Requests for reservations will be taken by phone or in person Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Oct. 20 through Nov. 10 or until all spaces are taken. The available spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
