Allatoona Lake Project: USACE to host youth archery deer hunt

MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District is scheduled to host an archery-only deer hunt for youth at the Allatoona Lake Project Dec. 13-14.

Hunting zones will be identified throughout Cooper’s Furnace and Cooper Branch Day Use Areas.  The use of each hunting zone will be by reservation only and limited to youth ages 15 and under.  A parent or guardian must accompany each youth hunter and possess a valid Georgia Big Game license (parents or guardians may not hunt).

Requests for reservations will be taken by phone or in person Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Oct. 20 through Nov. 10 or until all spaces are taken. The available spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
