USACE to close campground during fall, winter seasons

MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District’s Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Management Center is scheduled to close Town Creek Campground Oct. 1 for the upcoming fall and winter seasons. The park will re-open Feb. 21, 2015.

Town Creek Campground is located off Highway 50 on Columbus Lake in Clay County, Miss. As an alternative, USACE will keep DeWayne Hayes Campground open. This campground is located directly across the lake and only a short drive from Town Creek Campground as well as Columbus Air Force Base.
