Many day use opportunities are also available.  Swimming areas located at Yellowjacket Creek, Earl Cook and Rocky Point Recreation Areas will open for use on April 30.   The fee for the use of facilities in these areas is $4 per vehicle. Fishing is also a favorite activity at West Point Lake with twenty-four parks offering boat-launching ramps.  Seven of these parks require the payment of a $3 boat-launching fee.  Fishing piers are available at Rocky Point Recreation Area and McGee Bridge Park.

Nine picnic shelters around the lake may be reserved for fees ranging from $50 - $150 per day.  Shelters may be reserved at any time during the entire 2011 calendar year by contacting the Project Management Office.  Shelters must be reserved at least 5 days in advance and payment must be made at the time of the shelter reservation. Payment may be made using cash, check, or credit card.

Frequent users of recreation areas and/or boat launching ramps may wish to purchase an Annual Day Use Pass. These passes, which are good for one year from the date of purchase, allow the purchaser to use any park where a day use fee is charged at no additional cost.  Passes are available at the Project Management Office for $30 each, and may be purchased in person or by telephone using a major credit card.
