MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District hosted a "topping out" ceremony at the construction site of its new headquarters building in downtown Mobile, Alabama, April 10, 2024.

Kris Mullins, Mobile District Chief of staff, spoke at the ceremony, which signified that the basic base structure of the new building is complete.

The event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the enduring relationship between the Mobile District and the City of Mobile.

"Our bond with Mobile spans over two centuries, and last year we celebrated our 208th birthday together.” Mullins said. “This milestone is a testament to our shared history and commitment. We take great pride in our relationship with Mobile."

“As we topout this facility, we hope this project, this new building, will help us as a District serve the Nation, the State of Alabama, and the City of Mobile for many more years to come,” Mullins said. “Mobile Delivers and ESSAYONS!”
