MOBILE, Ala. – Alabama River Lakes is moving to a new way of collecting boat launch and day use fees. This new method allows you to pay online before going to the park. It is quick and easy and keeps you from depositing cash in the honor vaults.

Follow these steps to make the purchase that best suits you.

First, log on to www.recreation.gov . Search for the park you intend to use. Then purchase a Single Day Use Pass ($5). Download and print your Activity Pass to put on your dash to show proof of payment. If you don’t have access to a printer, don’t worry. Tag numbers can also be used for verification of purchase. QR codes will also be located at the parks for you to be able to scan and pay if you forget before you arrive.

America the Beautiful passes are still honored at these parks and USACE Annual Day Use Passes ($40) are available for purchase at the Alabama River Lakes Site Office, Gunter Hill Campground, Prairie Creek Campground, Miller’s Ferry Campground, or Isaac Creek Campground.

Utilize this new payment method at the following Alabama River Lakes parks:

  • Benton Boat Ramp
  • Bogue Chitto Creek Park
  • Bridgeport Beach
  • Chilatchee Creek Park
  • East Bank Beach
  • Elm Bluff Boat Ramp
  • Holy Ground Battlefield Park (Beach)
  • Isaac Creek – Damsite East Bank Claiborne
