Published Dec. 19, 2019

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District scheduled the closing of McKinney Campground from Jan. 1 to May 15, 2020, in order to place it on the sewer system for Bartow County, Georgia.

“This upgrade will improve the overtaxed dump station and aged septic systems that are currently in place,” said Chief Ranger Russell Simmons, Allatoona Lake Project Management Office.

Other Corps-managed campgrounds, such as McKaskey, Payne, Sweetwater, and Victoria will open in March as scheduled.
