Mobile, Alabama – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Sidney Lanier announced today the temporary closure of the Bolding Mill Park beach area in Hall County, Georgia, due to high bacterial levels.

During routine water sampling, the beach area at Bolding Mill Park indicated E. coli levels exceeding water quality standards. The presence of higher levels of E. coli may indicate the presence of bacteria that can cause health concerns.

As a precaution, the Bolding Mill Park beach area will remain closed until further testing can be conducted. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division has been notified of current testing results per standard procedure.
