Cottondale, Ala. – Rock Quarry Boat Ramp, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Black Warrior/Tombigbee River Lakes, will be closed from Jan. 23 until Feb. 12.
The Corps is replacing the water line that stretches from Rock Quarry boat ramp, across Holt Lake, and feeds into Deerlick Creek Campground. As a result, Rock Quarry boat ramp will be closed to provide staging for construction equipment and vehicles.
During that time, the boat ramp at Rocky Branch Park, approximately eight miles from the Rock Quarry boat ramp, will be available. The Rocky Branch Park boat ramp can be accessed from AL-216 heading north from Rock Quarry boat ramp and turning left onto Rocky Branch Road.
