U.S. Army Corps of Engineers hosts open house (1702-006)

MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District invites the public to participate in an open house for the proposed improvement of the Mobile Harbor Federal Navigation Channel, March 16. 

The open house will be held at the Bayfront Pavilion, 6200 Bayfront Park Drive, Daphne, Ala., from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Any person with an interest in the proposed harbor improvements may attend.

This event is an opportunity to give members of the public an update on the proposed project’s status and upcoming milestones, and to receive the public’s comments and concerns related to potential impacts associated with the project. Members of the project team will be on hand with graphical displays to explain the various ongoing studies the Mobile District is conducting and to answer questions related to the proposed project.

The open house is one opportunity to share either oral or written public comments that will become part of the preparation of a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed project. In addition to the open house, members of the public may submit comments by email to MobileHarborGRR@usace.army.mil or by mail to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, 109 Saint Joseph Street, Mobile AL 36602.
