Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin: USACE announces extension of State and Agency review period for the Final Environmental Impact Statement and Master Water Control Manual (1701-002)

MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District, announced today the extension of the review period for the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the proposed update of the Master Water Control Manual (WCM) for the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin.    

“We received several requests from Federal, State and interest groups to extend the review period to allow them more time to review and prepare comments on the documents,” said Public Affairs Officer E. Patrick Robbins.  “The State and Agency review period now ends on February 1, 2017.”

The Master Manual includes appendices for individual projects in the ACF Basin and is the guide used by USACE to operate a system of five federal reservoir projects in the basin.  This project is the culmination of an update that began in 1988. 

The FEIS and appendices are available for review in the following formats:
