USACE to close Vineyard Mountain Trail during December

MOBILE, Ala. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District announced today that the Allatoona Lake Project is scheduled to close the Vineyard Mountain Trail from Dec. 1 through Dec. 31 due to scheduled hunting activities in the area.

The trailheads for Vineyard Mountain Trail are located at Riverside Day Use Area and Bethany Bridge.  Hikers should schedule their activities at other nearby locations such as Cooper’s Furnace Trail, Pine Mountain Trail, or the trails at Red Top Mountain State Park.
