MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District is hosting an open house for a Coastal Storm Risk Management Study of the Okaloosa County shorelines Nov. 15, 2018, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Emerald Coast Convention Center, located at 1250 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
The purpose of this study is to assess the needs for coastal storm damage protection and opportunities for environmental restoration and protection along the coast of Okaloosa County, Florida. This open house is an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the study and potential project.
USACE Mobile District team members and representatives from local sponsor Okaloosa County will be on site with graphical displays to: explain the ongoing study, answer questions related to the study, and receive public input on problems and concerns.
