Contractors for the Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District place dredge material on Ship Island in December last year. When the project is done they will have placed 19.5 Million cubic yards of material to restore the island. The Corps of Engineers is looking for beneficial use placement sites for dredge material from the public.
