Sitting atop the U.S. Coast Guard navigation range in Mobile Bay, Coastal Engineer Richard Allen connects newly-installed gauges to the broadcast system which provides data communication to the Corps of Engineers. The gauges measure water level, wave height, turbidity, salinity and suspended sediment concentration.
