MOBILE, Ala. – Starting today, the Demopolis Lock will be closed to traffic for emergency repairs to the upper miter gate. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is working to analyze the extent of the damage and make necessary repairs. There is no currently estimated time for completion of repairs; updates will be made as more information becomes available.
