Alabama Coastal Comprehensive Plan

Purpose:  The State of Alabama is working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to develop a constituent informed, science-based coastal comprehensive plan to strengthen the economic, environmental, and social resilience of coastal Alabama for current and future generations.

Program Status:  During the current phase of the ACCP, a coast-wide vulnerability assessment is being conducted to identify future risks due to sea level rise. During the first phase in the development of the ACCP, visioning exercises with various sectors of our coastal communities and the general public were conducted . 

Vision:  A vibrant coastal Alabama with a healthy and resilient economy, environment, and social foundation.

Goal:  Reduce vulnerabilities by providing a roadmap that increases the economic, environmental, and social resiliency of coastal Alabama for current and future generations.
