Description - The Snagboat ROS - Utilized by the Mobile District Corps of Engineers, Tuscaloosa Site Office  to perform snag and debris removal from the channels of the Black Warrior-Tombigbee and Alabama River Systems and commercial traffic lanes through reservoirs from the mouth of the Mobile River to Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama, respectively.  Performs excavation in areas of bank erosion after high water periods.   Performs lock and dam maintenance, sets and removes stoplogs during lock closures.   Jeff Byars currently serves as the Captain of the Snagboat ROS.
