RIVER JUNCTION LANDING
DESCRIPTION: Mostly dominated by a mixture of slash pine, longleaf pine, and oak trees. Those who wish to spend the night for early morning bird watching, a full hookup campground with boat ramp, picnic tables, grills, restrooms and showers. Brochures and other recreation related information can be obtained at the Woodruff-Seminole Site Office just north of the town of Chattahoochee, Florida. Be sure to ask the receptionist to see the introductory video on the cultural and natural history of Lake Seminole.
WILDLIFE: Ospreys, bald eagles, egrets, herons, pine warblers, towhees, raccoons, and bobcats.
DIRECTIONS: From Chattahoochee, FL., go north on Bolivar St. (traffic light adjacent to the car wash). You will cross into Georgia and road name will change to Booster Club Road. Follow road for 3 miles and River Junction will be on your left. Also look for roadway signs to assist you.
