Come and enjoy the beautiful clear waters of Okatibbee at our five
beaches and swimming areas (three COE and two Pat Harrison). Buoy lines
surround designated swimming areas, but there are no lifeguards on duty.
A number of public boat ramps with courtesy docks provide quick and easy
access to the water. Picnicking is permitted in all park areas around the
lake. Amenities at these areas include tables, playground equipment,
restrooms and drinking water. An overlook, which gives a breathtaking
view of the dam and lake, is located at the East Bank Damsite Public Use
Area.
The parks offer a variety of recreation
facilities including ball fields, fishing jetties, picnic tables,
swimming beaches, horse-shoe pits, volleyball areas, and large picnic
shelters. (The picnic shelters are ideal for family reunions,
birthday parties or company gatherings and may be reserved in advance by
calling (601)626-8431.
