INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARATION OF SPREADSHEET [PROGRAMMED AMOUNT VS CURRENT WORKING ESTIMATES (CWE)]

1.  At each Design Submittal Stage, the A-E should furnish and update the spreadsheet based on the latest Programmed Amount (PA) and the latest Current Working Estimate (CWE).  Note:  CWE includes Escalation, Construction Contingency and SIOH or S&A.

2.  Project Name & Location should be filled in.  Leave CADD ID blank.  If necessary the spreadsheet may be modified to include cost estimate submittal stages other than those specified.

3.  As a minimum, the A-E should specify the Programmed Amount, Base Bid CWE, and the Base Bid including all Options CWE.  If information is available, 1391 cost items (e.g. Building, Utilities, Demolition, etc.), Bid Items or System Level Work Breakdown Structure Items should also be compared.

4.  If any cost comparison feature deviates more than plus or minus 5% from the previous cost estimate, the A-E should furnish a written narrative explaining the deviation.
