| National / Regional Emergency Contracts. The Headquarters, Readiness Support Center (RSC) is co-located with the Mobile District Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Alabama, and is an operating arm of HQ, United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The RSC is responsible, in conjunction with designated USACE Divisions and Districts for the award of National/Regional Emergency Contracts. These contracts are commonly referred to as "Advance Contracting Initiative" or ACI contracts. | ||||||

| Pre-solicitation Notices. Notices for Mobile District construction (including dredging) projects are published in the online Commerce Business Daily which can be found at http://cbdnet.access.gpo.gov/, and through our Contracts link to "Finding Solicitations." | ||||||

| Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The Director of Defense Procurement has issued a final rule requiring that contractors must be registered in the CCR before receiving a contract from any activity of the Department of Defense. (The rule appears on page 15316 of the March 31, 1998, edition of the Federal Register.) The CCR web address is http://www.ccr.gov/. You may obtain registration assistance by calling 1-888-227-2423. The rule authorizes contracting officers to reject offers from contractors that have not registered; therefore, all contractors are encouraged to register as soon as possible. | ||||||
