Deerlick Creek Campground

Deerlick Creek Campground has 46 campsites. All campsites are equipped with 50 AMP electrical service and water hookups, impact pad, picnic table, lantern holder, fire ring, and a grill. Campground amenities include hot showers, coin operated laundry, flush toilets, sanitary dump stations, hiking trails, a group shelter, amphitheater, and a playground.

Important Information:

The entrance gate opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. daily. Single family sites, with hook-ups, accommodate one RV and/or any number of tents that can fit on the impact pad. We require that all pets remain leashed or penned at all times for your safety and theirs. Alcohol is prohibited within the park.

Directions: From Interstate 20/59: take Exit 73, MacFarland Blvd Exit. Go West on MacFarland Blvd/Hwy 82 for approximately 4.2 miles. Veer right onto Rice Mine RD. At stoplight turn left onto Rice Mine RD. Turn right at the stoplight onto New Watermelon Road and follow it for 3.4 miles. Turn right at stop sign onto Lake Nicol Road, follow Lake Nicol Rd for 3.4 miles to Deerlick Rd. Turn right onto Deerlick Rd for approximately 3.2 miles to Deerlick Park.

    Burchfield Branch Campground has 36 campsites. All campsites are equipped with 50 AMP electrical service and water hookups, impact pad, picnic table, lantern holder, fire ring, and a grill. Campground amenities include hot showers, coin operated laundry, flush toilets, sanitary dump stations, and a play ground.

    Directions:  FROM TUSCALOOSA: From I-59, take exit 86 toward Brookwood on Tuscaloosa Co. Rd 59, turn right at traffic light in Brookwood on Hwy 216, turn left(NE) onto Co. Rd 59, turn left at stop sign onto Lock 17 Rd, turn left at Lock 17 Grocery on Lock 17 Rd and follow to park entrance. approx 23miles from Brookwood (AL)

    FROM BIRMINGHAM: From I-59, take exit 115 toward Hueytown on Allison-Bonnett Memorial Drive, which turns into Warrior River Rd., follow through Concord Community toward Lock 17 Rd., Warrior River Rd. turns into Lock17 Rd., continue thru Oak Grove Community, turn left at Lock 17 Grocery and follow to park (approx 31 miles from I-59)

    The campsites available here are primitive sites which include picnic table, impact pad, lantern holder, and fire ring.

    Important Information:

    Camp in designated areas only.  Contain fires to fire rings or grills. Do not leave fires unattended.  No off road vehicles.  Quiet hours between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
