The U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers Life Jacket Loaner Program offers 23
different locations for
individuals that do not have a personal flotation
device (PFD) and wish to experience Allatoona Lake safely. The life jackets are
available for loan at the Park Attendant Booths in:
Allatoona Operations Project Management Office
Blockhouse Day Use Area
Clark Creek North Campground
Cooper Furnace Day Use Area McKaskey Campground Old Highway 41 #1 Day Use
Area
Old Highway 41 #3 Campground Payne Campground and Ramp Sweetwater Day Use Area
Sweetwater Campground
Upper Stamp Creek Campground
Victoria Campground
Victoria Day Use Area
Life
jackets are available for both children
and adults. All that is required by visitors to secure
a life jacket is a proper form of identification. If you have
forgotten your PFD, do not own a PFD, or
possess a PFD that is unsafe or doesn't fit
properly, please drop by the day use area and borrow
a life jacket!
In the
following areas, visitors can borrow a life jacket
that is available on the area's bulletin board or
loaner tree. Visitors can take a life jacket off the
board and return it before they leave that day. No
ID or checkout required.

Clark Creek South Ramp
Galt's Ferry Day Use (both beach and boat
ramp)
McKinney Campground (both beaches)
Riverside Day Use Area
Stamp Creek Day Use Area Tanyard Ramp
Subject to seasonal closings
NOTE:
- Park attendants are on duty at Old Hwy 41
#1 Day Use Area from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM,
Friday-Monday.
- Park attendants are on duty at
Sweetwater Day Use Area from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM,
Friday-Monday.
- The Campground attendants at Sweetwater, Payne,
Victoria, Old Hwy 41 #3, Clark Creek North, Upper
Stamp Creek
and McKaskey are on duty everyday from 7:00 AM until 10:30 PM.
- The Allatoona Operations Project Management
Office is open daily during recreation season from
8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.
