Hunting

The Apalachee Wildlife Management Area in Florida and various tracts in Georgia are managed by the respective states as game management areas.  Hunting is allowed on all Corps-managed lands and waters if they are not expressly closed. Examples of closed areas are developed recreation areas, marinas, and operations areas.

Hunters should use caution while hunting in areas immediately adjacent to private development. A valid state hunting license is required when hunting on the project, and a stamp is also required in state-management areas. Fishing and hunting regulation booklets are available free of charge at the Lake Seminole Project Management Office and can be found in area stores.  For more information, please contact the Georgia Department of Natural Resources or the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
