The Mobile District manages more than 450 recreation areas located across Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Florida. At each of our project sites there are a wide variety of activities that the entire family can enjoy including camping, swimming, hunting, fishing, boating, hiking and biking.

The project lake also features a variety of recreation facilities including ball fields, fishing jetties, picnic tables, horse-shoe pits, volleyball areas, and large picnic shelters. Recreation Program

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is one of the Nation's leading federal providers of outdoor recreation with more than 400 lake and river projects in 43 states. The Mobile District manages more than 500,000 acres of land and water at 12 natural resources projects in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi that together host more than 30 million visitors each year. The district and our partners operate more than 450 recreation areas that feature campgrounds, picnic areas, playgrounds, beaches, marinas, boat ramps, parks and nature trails.
