Mobile District Data Collection Unit hosts open house
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District Water Management Department created the Data Collection Unit (DCU) to meet the demand for more data and collect it rapidly. To help the DCU meet its ever-growing, ever-expanding mission, the District renovated the former DTOS storage building to be the new home for the DCU. Panama City Office making positive impact on the Florida Gulf Coast
When Hurricane Michael hit the Florida Gulf Coast five years ago, it nearly destroyed the Panama City. One of the agencies that played a significant role in the city’s recovery and turnaround since the storm is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, specifically Mobile District’s Panama City Project Office. The two leading roles of the office are Navigation Operations & Maintenance and Dredging and Disposal Area Management.With a large area to cover for both missions, the Panama City Office is always busy.
