USACE Visitor Center Open on Weekends through Summer Season

MOBILE, Ala. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District, West Point Project Management Office’s Visitor Center will begin its summer operations schedule on Saturday April 2, 2016 through September 25, 2016. Hours of operations will be 8 am – 4:30pm EST, seven days a week.

 

The Visitor Center is located off highway 29 south, between R. Shaefer Heard Campground and the West Point Dam. The Center provides a unique look into the history of the Chattahoochee River and how USACE manages the area’s public land and water.

 

Friendly and helpful attendants will assist in picnic shelter reservations, provide maps, information, and issue multiple federal agency passes and hunting permits.
