Earn a complimentary annual day-use pass

MOBILE, Ala. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Allatoona Lake and Lake Sidney Lanier Project Offices, two of the most visited USACE lakes in the South Atlantic Division, are conducting a pilot program to promote water and boating safety by recognizing Georgia residents, 18 years of age or older, that earn and provide a certificate from an authorized Safe Boating Class to receive a complimentary USACE annual day use pass, valid for one year.    

The approved list of boating courses is available on the Georgia Department of Natural Resources website at: http://gadnrle.org/node/33.     

Complimentary annual day use passes will be issued Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at both the Allatoona Lake and Lake Lanier Project Management Offices.  Passes will not be issued on weekends or holidays.       

The original Safe Boating Certificate, dated and completed within the past year, along with a Georgia photo identification must be presented in person when obtaining a complimentary USACE annual day use pass. Individuals will be required to sign a release form stating that they will not sell the complimentary pass.  Lost or stolen passes will not be reissued without a new Safe Boating Class certificate.
