U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Announces West Bank Park Temporarily Closed at Lake Sidney Lanier

MOBILE, Ala.—The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District announced today that West Bank Park at Lake Sidney Lanier will be closed for approximately four weeks from January 1 through January 26, 2014.  The park will be closed to allow waterfowl hunting, in accordance with the federal and state late season regulations. 

Little Ridge Park, located at 3295 Lanier Beach South Road, Cumming, Ga., approximately one mile west of West Bank Park, is open and available for visitors. Also available for visitors is Gary Pirkle Park located at 6195 Austin Garner Road, Sugar Hill, Ga., approximately 4 miles east of West Bank Park.
